Subject: Recmmendation to have a graduation party
As you requested, I have debated between haveing a party for my birthday on May 10th and having a graduation party. This report is to recommend a joint party after graduation. I have developed the following criteria for the ideal date of the party.
- Guest Availability
- Weather
- Amount of advance notice
I recommend having a party after graduation in celebration of my birthday and graduation. More people will be available after school gets out. The weather will be warmer because it will be farther into summer. Finally, if we make it later, there will be more time to notify people and more will be able to attend.
Discussion:
Guest Availability:
- May: May is filled with AP tests and they all surround my birthday, one downside of my birthday being so close to the end of the year. People will be all wrapped up in studying and wont want to waste precious time to come to a party.
- Summer: After school gets out, people will have more free time to come to a party. Even though lots of people have graduation parties the weekend after graduation, we will be able to find an open weekend.
- Conclusion: Summer gives people more freetime.
- May: The weather in May is a little less predictable than during the summer months of June and July. May tends to be colder which would not be fun for a pool party.
- Summer: The weather in June and July tend to be warmer and better for swimming and staying outside.
- Conclusion: Summer has warmer weather and is more predictable.
- May: Because the end of May is only a few weeks away, some people may already have plans or plan something else before I send an invitation out.
- Summer: With summer being over a month away, that gives way more time to people who have busy schedueles to plan ahead.
- Conclusion: Having a party in summer gives people more advanced notice to plan.
